The passed few weeks have been full of highs and lows; lot’s of excitement mixed with the agony of waiting. After much trampling through our house by strangers at all hours of the day everyday, we found two buyers! We accepted one of the offers (a family relocating to Vegas from New Jersey) and waited for the inspection and appraisal to happen. The inspector and appraiser came within one day of each other. It all happened very quickly. Unfortunately, even though the inspector who was here for hours managed to have his report to us the same night, the appraiser was probably here twenty minutes and we didn’t hear anything for another week and a half.
Now we’re waiting for an appeal by both our realtor and their realtor about the appraisal because the comparison homes the appraiser used to determine the value of our house were miles away from our neighborhood and completely different in size and amenities. So, this is what I’m dealing with now. Trying to distract myself and not stress about it!
