This Dessert Table for the Fairy Garden Party over at The Tomkat Studio is pretty amazing!!!  A great source of inspiration if your planning a spring party or a little girl’s birthday.

Want a different spin on spring crafts?  How about some snake softies?!  Tutorial here by Lovely Bud (via Craft Gossip)

Having some wee one naptime drama?  Get some tips over at Apron Strings in her Nappy-Naps post.

For all the bitty book-lovers out there Design Mom recommends Robot Zot.  Check out her review here.

Here’s a tutorial for fabric wall decals at Sewing for Scarlett (via Creative Jewish Mom).  She uses fusible webbing.  There are also tutorials using starch here at How About Orange and here at Craftster.  I think this is the perfect project for fickle moms who want Hello Kitty all over one month and just a few flowers here and there another :)  Plus I bet they’d be a fun alternative for people who try and avoid vinyl, but still like the idea of removable decals.

Clutterpunk shares her results from a great free bean bag tutorial at Michael Miller fabrics.

I’m in LOVE with this sweetest ever Mooshy Belly Bunny tutorial by Chez Beeper Bebe.

Check out this sweet little hooded cape over at Bitter Betty Blogs.  She even created a little red riding hood scene around the bottom border!  Such great inspiration here!!!  So talented.

These little hearts are actually cauliflower puree that have been frozen in heart-shaped ice cube trays.  I picked up the Deceptively Delicious cookbook a few weeks ago and found ways to hide them in scrambled eggs and baked potatoes.  The twice-baked potatoes were gobbled up and no one was the wiser about the cauliflower.  They were my toddler’s favorite part of the meal!

The main course was Karina’s Maple Meatloaf (recipe here) from Gluten-Free Goddess.  Yeah, this stuff was downed so quickly I have no pictures for you and no leftovers.  Everyone had seconds.

Karina supplied the recipes to many of the meals I prepared for my family (including my in-laws who were in town) this week.  Just like the meatloaf, everything was devoured with gusto. No leftovers.  No pictures.  Well, except for this one:

It’s actually my toddlers dish of Roasted Corn Chowder.  Have you ever heard a nearly two year old say “mmm mmmm mmmmm” while hoovering a bowl full of corn, sweet potatoes, chicken, tomatoes….?  My attempt at the Goddess’s chowder was a bit spicy.  So, I aded a little cream to cool it a bit for the small one.  Everyone else ate it as is and loved it.

So, I highly recommend these great recipes:

Karina’s Maple Meatloaf Oh my gosh, the glaze!!!  Yay for apricots!

Roasted Corn Chowder with Chicken, Lime and Cilantro The coconut milk really does something wonderful to this dish.  I found frozen roasted corn kernels at Trader Joe’s.

Lime Chicken Tacos I used regular corn tortillas.  Next time I’ll go for the soft white ones she mentions.  The marinade adds such great flavor and the chicken just melts in your mouth from it (I did it overnight).  When the tortillas were used up, people were just using the fixin’s to make taco salads and eat MORE of the wonderful chicken!

Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie This was the only recipe of this bunch that really took much time.  Waiting for the sweet potatoes to cook, chopping… stuff like that.  It was SO SO worth the effort though.  My mother-in-law even asked for the recipe!  I used fresh thyme and a frozen cilantro cube (I buy them at Trader Joe’s) instead of the dried versions.  I also used artichoke hearts with stems (also from Trader Joe’s).  Everything else was done as the recipe suggests.

Happy gluten-free cooking!!!

I think this Din Din Smart Stainless Platter (featured on Inhabitots) would be great for Muffin Tin Mondays!

Yesterday I mentioned Novita of the Very Purple Person.  Well, the talented Novita also has an extremely talented son with his own blog!  See Sidra’s wonderful artwork and many fantastic creatures (my favorite!) here.

Wait, why are you still here and not here!?

After seeing these plans featured on Design Dazzle from Knock Off Wood (yes, still on awe of her awesomeness) for a Playhouse Bed Loft, I was inspired.  Remember the “castle” I made for my little princess here, here and here?  Well, I wish I had all these for inspiration then!

For those of us who prefer duct tape to hammer and nails:

Carrie Grace at Cafe Mom has a funny story and an easy was to make another cardboard playhouse here.

Say Something Designs doesn’t seem to have these patterns in stock right now, but I bet you clevernesses could figure it out. Found via Inhabitots.
