Aren’t these amazing?! I think this is such a fantastic and innovative way to showcase fashion! The movement of each piece is really captured in each image. See the rest of the collection at Heal. You’ll notice interesting audio as well as soon as you reach their site. Quite an experience. Found via this post at Pour Porter. Love this Jakub Polanka post here as well. My love of fashion is the same as my love of any other art. There are pieces that I think are fantastic to look at, or that inspire me, but I wouldn’t necessarily bring them into my home. Many of the Polanka pieces featured in this post look very wearable though. Love that!
I love this sweet Valentine diorama over at That Artist Woman! Get the tutorial here. The fantastic things you can make with a little imagination and a cardboard tube! Gail has quite a collection of really great craft tutorials if you have time to browse around her site. I learn just as much from her tips and techniques for creating as the children her projects are aimed at. The tissue wrapped coin and cling wrap techniques she used in this polar bear post, for example. Why didn’t I think of that?! It’s very rewarding to see a painting that might make you think ‘whoa, I could never do that’, only to find out you really can, and the artist is going to show you how, step by simple step.

1000 Things About Japan is a photo blog of things the author “will miss” or “won’t miss” about living in Japan. I love this because it’s such an interesting way to share a glimpse of the individuals daily experiences. This image “Will Miss #116 – Sound of the Tofu Cart Lady” stood out to me because there are similar vendors where I was born, in Panama. I see this woman and it calls to mind images and sounds of the rice or sweet ice sellers. Definitely inspires me to wants to capture more than just group shots of family on my next visit.

If you need to smile or laugh, PLEASE go to 7:10 to Tokyo and giggle childishly at his tirade about nose-picking. You won’t regret it. Just to warn, there are some naughty words, but it really is hilarious! Down to even the poll at the bottom of this post, I was grinning. It’s like listening to a friend with a talent for storytelling rant. You really feel like you’re on the train or sitting at the McDonald’s with Billy. So great!
Have a fun Friday night and a terrific weekend!
